During construction

Rough clean

A rough clean happens while the build is still running. It is not about finish, it is about making the site workable for whoever comes next.

Construction site during the build stage

Why it pays for itself

Trades work slower on a cluttered floor. Materials get damaged, tools go missing under offcuts, and time is lost moving debris that should have been removed days earlier.

Clearing between stages also protects the finishes that are already in. Offcuts dragged across a new floor cost more to fix than the clean that would have prevented it.

What a rough clean is not

This is not the handover clean. Surfaces are cleared and swept, not detailed, because more dust is coming. Detailing a site that is still under construction is money spent twice.

On most projects a rough clean happens more than once: after framing, after drywall, and before finishing trades come in. We agree the points in the schedule with your site manager.

Site conditions

The crew works to site rules, around active trades, and removes what is agreed rather than deciding on the spot. Anything that looks like it might be material rather than waste stays until someone confirms.

What you get at the end

A site the next trade can start on immediately, without spending their first hours moving someone else’s waste.
